The Insta360 X5 refines the 360-degree formula, addressing creators’ concerns. It features a robust, IP68-certified body with enhanced waterproofing, providing a rugged feel. The dual 1/1.28” sensors and new triple-AI chip pipeline significantly improve low-light performance. PureVideo mode offers cleaner footage with better noise reduction and highlight protection compared to the X4 in dark conditions. The 8K/30fps 360 capture remains reliable, delivering richer colors and cleaner footage in high-contrast daylight. The user-replaceable lens design, combined with the advanced optics in the Nauticam housing, ensures superior results. The “shoot first, frame later” workflow is powerful, supported by a new InstaFrame mode that captures 360 and a 1080p flat, auto-tracked video for instant sharing. The Invisible Selfie Stick and FlowState stabilization make third-person follow shots look like drone footage. With a battery life boost to 2400mAh, the X5 offers over 3 hours of shooting in 5.7K and 80% charge in just 20 minutes. The X5 is the most refined and user-friendly 360 camera to date.
The Nauticam housing for the Insta360 X5 is crafted with premium optics housed in a robust metal body. It’s constructed from a hard-anodized aluminum alloy, boasting a depth rating of 150 meters. Like all Nauticam housings, it features user-friendly ergonomic controls, including a rotary housing lock, a red push button for the power button, and a blue push button for the quick button. Each lens has a 190-degree angle of view and is made up of three elements in two groups. These lenses are coated with anti-reflection material and have a working distance of 0 to infinity. To use the housing, you’ll need to remove the original outer lenses (one from each side) of the Insta360 X5 camera using the included tool. Once the back door is closed, the camera automatically activates dive mode within the housing. The housing provides 1x 1/4"-20 threaded hole and 2x M5 threaded holes for mounting points.
The usual order is housing, then port, then gear, then light. Add what you are missing.
