About Us
TechInks sells the equipment that keeps a camera dry at depth: housings, ports, wet optics, lighting, trays and arms, and the full spare-parts range behind them.
Why we exist
Most camera shops treat underwater gear as an afterthought — a shelf at the back, staffed by someone who has never had water inside a housing. The questions that actually matter get shrugged at. Will this port clear my lens at the wide end? Is this the right extension ring? Which O-ring does this model take, and how often should it be replaced?
Those are not trivia. Getting one of them wrong costs a camera, and sometimes a trip. We built TechInks so the answers sit next to the product rather than behind an email.
What we stock
- Housings for mirrorless, DSLR and cinema bodies, plus monitor and recorder housings.
- Ports and extensions — dome, flat and macro, with the adapters and zoom gears that go with them.
- Wet optics — wide-angle and macro converters that thread on and off in the water.
- Lighting — video lights, strobes, triggers and the arms and clamps to mount them.
- Vacuum and leak detection, because a housing you can test on the boat is a housing you trust.
- Spare parts — O-rings, lubricant, remover tools, body caps, screws. The things that fail quietly.
Before anything ships
Every housing we send out is pressure-tested and serial-logged. The test card travels in the box with the serial on it, so what you hold matches what we checked. Ports and optics are inspected for coating and seal condition. Spares are counted, not estimated.
Some items are built to order by the manufacturer. Where that is the case the lead time is stated on the product page rather than discovered at checkout.
Fit, honestly
We would rather lose a sale than sell you a port that does not clear your lens. Every product page carries the depth rating, port system and dimensions we hold for it, and our compatibility finder matches a camera body to the housing, port and optics that suit it.
If the data does not answer your question, ask us. We will tell you when we are not certain instead of guessing — a wrong fit floods a camera.
After the sale
Gear that goes underwater needs servicing. We offer annual service — full strip, seals replaced, controls re-greased, pressure-tested to rating — and we carry the spares to keep older bodies of work alive rather than pushing you to replace them.
Manufacturing and seal defects are covered for two years from purchase. Returns run for 30 days on unused equipment.
