Underwater Videographer
We sell housings, ports and lighting to people who take cameras underwater for a living. Almost every product page on this site would be better with footage of the thing actually in the water, and right now most of them do not have any.
This role exists to fix that. You will dive the equipment we sell, film it in real conditions, and cut the results into the short films that sit on product pages, in campaigns and across our channels.
What you'll do
- Plan and shoot product films — housings, ports, wet optics and lighting, in the water rather than on a table.
- Run field tests on new stock and capture what happens, including when something does not perform.
- Edit and grade your own footage, and keep the library organised so a product page can find its clip.
- Work with the buying team on what to shoot next, driven by which listings convert badly without video.
- Keep a maintenance routine for the rigs you take out. You will be trusted with expensive equipment.
What we need from you
- A recognised diving qualification, in date, with logged experience beyond training dives.
- A reel we can watch. Underwater work specifically — we will look at how you handle backscatter, white balance at depth and moving subjects.
- Comfort with a housed cinema or mirrorless rig, and the patience that shooting from one demands.
- Editing to a finished cut: you shoot it, you grade it, you deliver it.
- Legal right to work in the US and a willingness to travel for shoots.
Nice to have
- Technical, wreck or cave certification.
- Experience with vacuum systems and pre-dive checks on rented or loaned rigs.
- Stills as well as motion — product pages need both.
- Second language, for shoots outside the US.
