Open role
3D Designer
The hardest question a customer asks us is whether a port clears their lens, or which extension ring sits between the two. Today that is answered with a compatibility table and a lot of trust.
This role turns those answers into something you can see: accurate models of housings, ports and extensions, rendered as exploded views and fit diagrams that make the right combination obvious.
What you'll do
- Model housings, ports, extension rings and accessories accurately enough that a fit diagram can be trusted.
- Produce exploded views and assembly diagrams for product pages and instructions.
- Render marketing visuals for products that are not photographable yet — pre-launch and made to order.
- Build a reusable component library rather than a folder of one-off scenes.
- Work with the team writing compatibility data, so what is rendered and what is published agree.
What we need from you
- A portfolio of product or hard-surface modelling. Precision matters more than style here.
- Fluency in a modelling and rendering pipeline of your choice — Blender, Cinema 4D, Fusion, KeyShot.
- Ability to work from technical drawings, calipers and real parts, not just reference photos.
- An eye for materials: anodised aluminium, optical glass and moulded polycarbonate should each read as themselves.
Nice to have
- CAD experience, or a background in mechanical or industrial design.
- Real-time or WebGL output, for interactive fit tools on the site.
- Animation, for assembly and maintenance sequences.
- Diving experience — useful, not required.
What we offer
- Real parts to measure and model, shipped to you.
- Work that ships: your renders go straight onto product pages, not into a deck.
- Remote considered for the right person, with occasional visits to Miami.
- Salary discussed openly on the first call rather than at the end of the process.
